the challenge
The Eastern Economic Corridor was growing faster than its water supply. PWA needed a major production and distribution expansion across five districts — built without interrupting supply to existing customers.
what we delivered
A 96,000 m³/day treatment plant at Fai Ta Lad, a 10,000 m³ reservoir, a 500 m³ elevated tower, distribution stations at Hua Sam Rong, Klong Na, Baan Po, Nong Nae, Pimpa and Ko Kanoon, plus full mechanical, electrical and control systems.
how it was built
Pipe installed by HDD, pipe jacking and open-cut — 145 km total: 116.7 km HDPE and 28.7 km steel, including 1,800 mm and 1,500 mm steel mains, plus 1,551 m of pontoon-laid pipe across water.
Impact
Added 96,000 m³/day of treatment capacity to support EEC growth. Against combined demand of 53,160 m³/day, the plant covers at least 5–10 years of future need — equivalent to more than 100,000 additional households.
