MWA
Samrong Project
Construction of a 20,000 m³ clear-water reservoir at Samrong pumping station and associated works, under the 9th Water Supply Improvement Master Plan
฿523M
Project value
230,000 m³/day (station)
Treatment capacity
250 m
Pipe transmission
2,500 mm
Largest pipe
the challenge
Work sat inside a live pumping station. Deep sheet piling and excavation had to proceed without damaging existing systems or interrupting public supply.
what we delivered
A 20,000 m³ clear-water reservoir, a 0.2 m³/min submersible pump, lighting and power systems, plus tie-ins to the existing reservoir, chlorine building and mains.
how it was built
Pipe installed by sheet-pile-supported open-cut over 250 m: 175 m of 2,500 mm steel main and 75 m of 2,200 mm steel main.
Impact
Added clear-water reserve capacity, strengthened MWA pumping resilience, and supported rising urban demand.

20,000 m³ clear-water reservoir building

Automatic end-of-line chlorine dosing building

Inlet chamber linking existing and new reservoirs

Tie-in of the 2,000 mm transmission main
